Nathan Stead has been Head PGA Professional at The Shipley Golf Club since December 2008. Formerly Nathan was the Head PGA Professional at Queensbury Golf Club and Assistant Professional at Otley Golf Club.
Before turning professional, Nathan studied Sport and Business Management at DeMontfort University in Lincolnshire. While at university, playing out of Canwick Park Golf Club, he represented the university in golf matches and was coached by ex US Tour player Bud Edmondson.
Since turning professional, Nathan has had many successes from winning Yorkshire PGA Pro-Ams to the TaylorMade Pro/Amateur Championship at Royal County Down, and representing his buying group TGI in the Ashworth cup on three separate occasions. In 2013 Nathan was nominated as one of the final three in the TGI Professional of the year award.
However Nathans main achievements have come in his coaching with a large client base ranging from beginners to +1 handicaps. Nathan also coaches one of the Yorkshire Girls beginner groups.
